This drone is great for toddlers. It's very easy for them to learn and fly on their own. My two and three year old sons had a blast for the few days we had this. Sadly, mommy had the idea of taking it to the park to "see how high it can go" until I threw it up with moderate force and it never came back down. This thing flew straight up into the atmosphere faster than my three year old could say "mommy make it stop." As it flew higher and higher shrinking out of sight, the tears began to fall and my kids were devastated. I reassured them calmly that it would come back down, the drone will get tired, but it indeed did not come back down. The 8 minute battery life was put to the ultimate test as it disappeared into the clouds and soared to God only knows where. There was no chasing this and it was clear this tiny fan-powered machine was on a mission to reunite with Star Command or achieve it's lifelong goal of orbiting in outer space. As my children had to be carried home, drone-less and sobbing, I could not help but pray that the evident crash landing caused minimal damage to surroundings and innocent bystanders. I would recommend purchasing and using indoors only, as the instructions clearly state. No need to crush your toddlers dreams at 9am on a Saturday the way I did.
