- We have online versions you can print or download at:
http://force1rc.com/pages/manuals
Pre-flight:
My box is missing an item, what do I do?
- One battery should already be installed in the drone and the other may be located on the underside of the white plastic tray or inside the battery compartment of the transmitter.
- The SD card may already be in the camera or in the USB SD reader
How do I pair the drone and transmitter?
- Make sure the drone and transmitter batteries are fully charged
- Plug the battery into the drone and place on an even surface
- Start with the left throttle pushed all the way down
- Turn on the transmitter and you should hear one beep and see the light start to flash rapidly on the transmitter
- Don’t touch any other buttons on the transmitter only push the left throttle up then down
- You will hear 3 beeps to indicate successful pairing
In-flight:
Does the drone hover in one place?
- That function is called the altitude hold function. This model does not have that feature. It is typically only available on higher priced models.
Does the drone have GPS to locate it if it gets lost?
- No, when the battery runs low on power the transmitter will beep and you should bring the drone back.
Can the drone be flown indoors?
- It is a bit big to fly indoors unless you have a large open space. We sell smaller drones which are better for indoor flying: UFO 4000
Can two of these drones be operated side-by-side?
- Yes, they operate on a 2.4GhZ frequency which allows this. Please turn on and pair one drone and transmitter then proceed with the second drone and transmitter.
Can the headless mode be turned off?
- Yes, by default the quadcopter should not be in headless mode.
How do I use the return home function?
- To use the return home function:
- Put the quadcopter in headless mode (top right button on the transmitter, the front white light is should be OFF).
- Start the flying the quadcopter; but make sure it is within range of the control unit. Do not move from the launch point.
- Press and hold the return home button (the top right button next to the LCD screen) to bring it back to the approximate launch point.
How do I activate the flip feature?
- Press the left button on the top of the remote control then tilt the directional stick whichever direction you'd like to flip or roll
How do I trim the drone if it is drifting?
- If the drone is drifting forward or backward use the forward/backward trim button (upper right) on the transmitter and adjust it forward if the drone is drifting backwards and vice versa.
- If the drone is drifting left or right use the trim button (bottom right) and adjust right if the drone is drifting left and left if the drone is drifting right.
- If the drone is rotating to the left use trim button (lower right) to adjust right and if the drone is rotating to the right use the trim button to rotate it left.
What happens if the drone goes out of range with the transmitter?
- There is a feature that will alert you if the drone gets close to going out of range. You will want to bring it back at that point or move quickly towards the drone to re-establish the connection. If that doesn’t work the quadcopter will start descending if it is not picked up by the wind.
How will I know when the battery is getting low?
- The transmitter will start beeping and the white lights will start blinking on the drone. Bring the drone back right away to avoid losing it.
Battery:
How long does the drone fly?
- One fully charged battery will last 7-9 minutes
How long does it take to charge a battery?
- For a full charge it will take 1 ½-2 hours
Where can I purchase more batteries?
Can I buy a more powerful battery for longer flight time?
- It is recommended to use the same type of batteries that come with the drone, a more powerful battery runs the risk of burning out the motors more quickly.
Does the transmitter need a special battery?
- No, it takes 4 standard AA batteries
Where do I find instructions for the power bank and drone?
Camera:
Photo:
Where do I insert the SD card?
The SD card goes in the camera. The gold part goes in first and facing up. You will hear it click and lock into the camera. When you want to eject it just press the SD card and you will hear another click and it will pop out.
Can I attach a GoPro?
No, it is too heavy and runs the risk of burning out the motors more quickly.
What is the camera’s resolution?
2MP HD video camera 1280 x 720, framerate 30 frames per second
Does the camera rotate to face the lens down?
The camera is in a fixed position. You can always rotate the drone to face the direction in which you want the camera to point for the desired shot.
Video:
Can I see the flight real-time on my phone?
Only with the FPV version:
Does the camera record sound and video?
Yes
Spare Parts:
Where can I find spare parts?
- Please email us at support@force1rc.com for parts and accessories.
The top left trim button on the transmitter is stuck:
- This is meant to be a non-working button so it will not move.
Why doesn’t the left lever return to the center position on its own like the right throttle?
- The left throttle is meant to work this way
Why are all the white LEDs on the drone blinking?
- Upon powering up the drone that indicates it’s searching for the transmitter signal. If you see this during flight, it means the battery is low. You will have approximately 1 minute to bring the drone back.
Tips for return home:
- The drone needs to be in headless mode
- It will return to the launch point
- Press and hold the return home button
- If the drone gets out of range the wind may carry it away
Issues with viewing the images/video
- Try reformatting the SD card by putting the SD card into the SD reader and plugging it into the USB port in your computer. Choose the FAT32 system options and perform a FULL Format, not a "Quick Format".
- Make sure you are removing the SD card before unplugging the battery on the drone
Propeller not spinning
- If you notice that the motor is spinning but not the propeller it’s possible that the smaller gear disengaged from the larger gear. Try pushing the propeller down which should fix the issue.
- Add a bit of electronic-safe lubricant to the non-working motor
- We sell replacement motors and propellers. Please email us at support@force1rc.com.
One of the motors stopped working, what can I do?
- Try adding a bit of electronic safe lubricant to the non-working motor to see if that frees it up. If not we sell replacement motors. Please email us at support@force1rc.com for parts and accessories.
Can I use oil on the motors or propellers?
- Yes, as long as it is electronic-safe oil.
Are there any videos to help with replacing motors or flying the drones?

Spare parts:
- Where can I find spare parts?
Specifications:
What is the range?
- Approximately 100 meters or 320 feet
What is the size of the boat?
- The UDI001 is about 13 inches long
- The UDI002 is 16 inches long
What is a good starting age for operating the boats?
- The boats are very fast so the recommended starting age would be about 8 years old
Operation:
Can this be used in salt water?
- It is not recommended as salt can build up making the boat inoperable.
Can two operate side-by-side?
- Yes, you will need to pair one with the transmitter then turn the second one on and pair that one with the transmitter.
Does the boat flip back over if it capsizes?
- Yes by moving the throttle forward and backward
Why can’t I get the boat to work?
- As a safety feature the boat will not work until it is in water
Why does my boat start off moving slow for a few seconds then speed up quickly?
- The boat starts this way because it needs to get up out of the water on a plane. Once it gets out of the water there is a noticeable increase in speed. This is a function of the weight of the boat and the hull design. It happens with real boats as well.
Is there a power switch on the boat?
- No, the boat won’t turn on until it is in the water. Place the boat in the water and turn on the transmitter to pair.
The steering seems to be locked, what can I do?
- If the steering locks it could be there is water in the boat. Empty all the water from inside the boat and let it dry out. Be sure the white rubber tubing on the back side of the hull is not pulled out.
Does the boat have a water proof seal?
- Yes, the boat has a water proof seal to keep water out.
Does the boat have variable speeds or just high and low?
- You control the speed with a trigger type of throttle so you may choose the best speed for operating the boat.
Battery:
How long does the battery last/how long will the boat operate?
- Per fully charged battery the boat will last approximately 10-15 minutes sometimes longer.
How long does it take to charge a battery?
- The battery should be fully charged after 1.5-2 hours
